Dreamstime is one of the Big 6. The Big 6 is a list of the 6 main stock agencies - Shutterstock, iStockphoto, Fotolia, StockXpert, 123 Royalty Free and Dreamstime. It has been around for a while and it's getting better all the time.

They have a lot of features I don't even know how to use, or even know about. The keymentor program, for example: you can suggest new keywords on other people's images and get paid to do that! They have monthly contests where you can win iPods and other prizes and other chances to win prizes.

For designers, Dreamstime has one of the largest Royalty-Free (RF) database on the web and they keep quality to a pretty high standard. There is a free images section where members can download full resolution images for free. There are various credit and subscription packages where you can download images at just US$0,20 each. They accept all major credit cards and PayPal.

There are a lot of features for photographers. There is a nice referral program with loads of banners and site badges, a well organized managment area with descriptions of what each link does, a great statistics page where you can view your acceptance ratio, uploads, downloads, forum activity, et cetera.

Earnings are good! It's my 3rd best earner, after iStock and Shutterstock. One of the many great features of Dreamstime is that you can see the keyword the buyer used to find your image. They also accept editorial images which is great for some of the photos we have and can't upload as RF.

There is a lot more to Dreamstime but you really have to join to find out. Being a good earner and good choice for buyers, it is a website that will get you far! They have a good acceptance ratio (unlike iStock, StockXpert and Crestock) for such a well built website and sales are happening all the time. Just wait a bit for your first US$100 payout and enjoy! You can upload your photos directly on the website or by FTP and they'll tell you roughly how long it will take for them to be reviewed.
